Um, I am not sure how it works at a Mission. The Catholic Church where we are getting married would not even let us reserve our spot until we had spoken with the priest and gotten his permission. It is also a stated requirement that at least one of the people getting married be a regular practicing member of the parish.

I would suggest that your fiance speak with his priest in Boston, who can then introduce the two of you to someone local in order to being your counseling and marriage preparation arrangements. Good luck!

I am getting married at a Diocese Cathedral, so it was pretty much up to me to find a priest, (It’s not like the Bishop would marry us!) I am not from that Diocese, and my FH who is, isn’t Catholic.  So I asked the church, they gave me the numbers of some retired priests, both who couldn’t do it.  Then I just started looking up parish’s in that Diocese and calling them.  I found a priest who was willing to marry us, and he is probably one of the neatest people I have ever met, so I am super glad I found him!
