(Closed) Catholic Wedding Ceremony after we get back from Hawaii – how should this go?

For the convalidation, you can walk down the aisle, if you choose, or you can both walk down together, since you are both looking to get your union validated in the church. I think that would be a nice way to put the meaning into the ceremony. No one is giving you away, you are going together to be one with the church?

To OP, I’m doing the exact same thing. What church are you going to? FI and I live in Hawaii, so we’ll be doing something small and civil elsewhere, then going back to Chicago where I grew up to do the Catholic mass at Saint Vincent DePaul where my parents got married. 

I’m not doing a wedding party. It’s just the mass with a few of the traditional Mexican additions and an intimate reception/lunch afterwards.
