My cats couldn’t leave the tree alone the first year (when they were 7 months old). Now that they’re 7 years old, they don’t look at it twice. I think they’ve actually ignored it more now that we get a real tree. Something about the pine smell maybe? They do still go after some fake greenery I have on the mantle. Only in the middle of the night though. LOL.

My cats are old and still love to climb and sleep in the tree. They knock the ornaments off, but I just put them back in the morning. I have never bothered trying to keep them away from the tree. It does not bother me, and its so cute to see them all curled up in the branches.
