LOL!

I put my cat in a pillow case then wrap the opening so only the head is sticking out. I used to have this plastic piller that you could put the pill in and shove into their mouth and down their throat.

Luckily I havent’ had to do that with my three current kitties.

Goodl Luck, you’ll need it!!

Have you tried scruffing kitty?  Some vets use binder clips on the scruff.

hahaha that “how to give a cat a pill”  joke made me laugh so hard!!!

I think that giving cats medicine is one of the hardest things to do, EVER!!

I get my cat to lie down on the bed, with her paws tucked beneath her, and I make sure she is relaxed, and is unaware Tongue Out And then, I kind of stradle her, without putting pressure on her at all, with my knees on the bed and hold her between my calf muscles, and curl my feet together behind me under my bum so that she can’t get away backwards. Then, I lift her chin, and drop the eyedrops in her eye. It sounds strange, but it’s super comfy for her, and I don’t get bitten or scratched Laughing

Putting a peg on his scruff would work too! It relaxes them (because that’s how their mothers carry them)

I had the pharmacy make a liquid metronidazole for my kitty Sheldon when he had the runs and tried to kill me for shoving a pill into him.  Metronidazole is incredible bitter, and even though they flavour the liquid he still drooled a ton after getting it because it tasted so bad.  One day he ran onto the bed after getting his meds and drooled all over my pillow!

@Pinkmoon:  I had the capsule for Penny because she is smaller than Sheldon and the capsule was the right dose for her.  She wasn’t bad to pill, and luckily the capsule protects against the horrid flavour!  However she did spit a couple out that I would find around the apartment days later.  Luckily they both recovered from whatever got both of them sick at the same time.

@Pinkmoon:  The towel doesn’t work because they always wriggle out of it. I swear by a pillow case. In fact that is how I get my 20lbs cat into it’s carrier. He hates it and always makes himself as big and squirmy as possible. So now I stuff him in a pillow case and put that inside. He eventually figures out how to get out of the pillow case, but it’s too late, the door is already closed.
