The last couple of days I have noticed that when I feed our cats one will just look at me and I have to move him or tap on his bowl to get him to eat. After that he does end up eating. Our other cat will eat right away but both cats end up walking away and then coming back to it later. Before this they would devour their food all at once. Should I be concerned that their eating habits seemed to have changed a little or is it fine as long at they are actually eating? They seem to still have all the energy and friendliness.

How old are your cats / how long have you had them? Have you tried switching up the food? Cats can be picky and they might just need a little more variety. If you have them on dry food try incorporating some wet food, try another flavor, etc. Since they are still eating and their energy levels are up it doesn’t really sound like you have anything to worry about just yet, but if they stop eating or are acting differently it sounds like a question for the vet.

They might be bored. I do rotational feeding for my cat (and dog), to keep them interested.

I agree that they’re most likely bored with their food. As long as they aren’t acting lethargic or just not eating at all, it wouldn’t worry me. I’d get a small bag of a different flavor or brand to see how they respond to something new.
If you do switch their food up, be sure to gradually mix the new food in with their old food. If you switch without mixing it, they can get digestive issues.

My cats get like that when they are bored of their food. We try to rotate the offerings we give them to cut down on that.

Thanks! Thats kind of what I was thinking I just wanted to be sure. I will try giving them a different flavor and see if that helps. I have a couple of cans of wet food I am going to try for dinner tonight!
