I’m surprised you didn’t try on your dream dress before buying. Now that you have a dress, I wouldn’t bother. No sense buying two dresses if you fell in love with the Carolina.

MrsWatkinstobe:  I think this is completely normal. I also picked a dress I fell in love with by chance over a dress which was exactly what I had envisioned. I felt twinges of doubt all the time, but when it came to it I loved my dress SO much! Maybe the other dress would also have been lovely, but it couldn’t have been any more perfect than my dress. At the end of the day, there are so many gorgeous dresses out there. We just have to pick one and go with it.

MrsWatkinstobe:  I think it’s completely normal. I never tried on my dream dress (Tara Keely 2056) because the only shop I found it in was $2000 over my budget. I didn’t want to be crushed if it was perfect. I found another dress that I fell in love with just as much (Allure 2701), but to say I don’t have wedding fantasies where I am in my dream dress would be a lie. Right now, I am still working on fitting into my dress, so I haven’t been able to visualize it 100%. I actually had a dream last night where I tried on my dream dress and fell so in love with it, I tried to return my other dress. I think it’s normal, but once you get closer to the wedding and the acutal day of, I think you’ll love your dress just as much if not more than the other dress.

I bought my dress, and even though I love it, I still want to try on others. I think this is normal.

Its normal I ended up buying a dress completely opposite of what I went I looking for. I tried on a wide variety of dresses and had the consultant pick some and she ended up picking my dress I think trusting the consultant is a big part because they work with the dresses daily and will know what looks good on different body types.

Definitely normal!  I tried on my dream dress, found a dress I loved even more and everyone agreed was perfect on me, and I’m still worried I should have chosen the other one.  When you’ve been picturing something for so long, it’s hard to let go of it.  Trust your gut that the dress you chose is the one.
