@KsoontobeN:  I love prosecco. I’m not exactly knowledgeable about wine… all I know is it isn’t too sweet or too dry and if you told me it was champagne, I would believe you lol.

I’m not that knowledgeable about wine and have never tried cava, but I do enjoy prosecco.  But, I LOVE Moscato – sparkling white wine.  Have you ruled that out?

Darling Husband says prosecco is not as sweet as champagne. He hasn’t had cava.

I also love prosecco! Haven’t had cava so I am really not helpful…but we are having prosecco at our wedding! Champagne was also out of our budget.

@KsoontobeN:  haha, sorry!  Moscato is sweeter, lighter, crisper than Prosecco.  Fiance and I are huge fans of sweeter wines, so Moscato fits the bill for us.  Prosecco might be better for a majority of the people since most people don’t like sweet wines.  If I were you, I’d buy a bottle of each and have myself a date night with Fiance.  🙂

Cava! I looove it.  I am a daily sparkling wine drinker and I really don’t like prosecco.  Realistically though, you can’t go wrong either way.

I have never seen a sparkling moscato.  I think that would be too sweet.

@KsoontobeN:  I do not like moscato at all. I think it is way too sweet for my taste. But I also like the red wines and dry white wines. I think paired with a sweet cake you would want something lighter and less sweet. So I voted for the prosecco. Also if you have “wine drinkers” at your wedding they most likely won’t like moscatto. I think the prosecco will be overall pleasing to all drinkers.

But if you really REALLY like sweet things buy a bottle of moscato and eat it with cake before ruling it out.

I prefer cava- probably because it’s closer to the regional sparkling wine around here. Not as fruity as prosecco can be. I’ve never has moscato but it sounds terrible- I prefer my wines dry with more tannins.
