I am off on a short cruise on Thursday! Four nights around South Australia. I will be on the cruise for my 40th birthday, which got me out of a conventional party- woo!

Today I decided I really fancy some snow, so when I was only my lunch in work I booked a trip to Norway in 2 weeks time for me and Fiance. I love being able to be totally spontaneous, we hadn’t even considered going until today. I’ve booked flights and 2 nights in a cabin in the mountains so we need to have a look on the map and see which area we like the look of for the other 2 nights.

I’m CFBC, for now. On my calendar: I have Paris for three weeks in April (work and vacation mix – will probably include courier trips to Amsterdam and Vienna), Palm Springs in May, south of France and Spain in June (pure vacation Europe travel – can’t wait!), Barbados in November (avoiding Zika, planning to TTC in 2019). We will be relocating in August so haven’t made too many plans further out but we’re very excited for all the upcoming sunshine! Got very lucky with Paris weather last April and I’m hoping for more of the same.

zzar45 :  I’d love to live in a place where I could go somewhere else to see snow. Just jet off because I fancied some snow. Unfortunately, the husband will never move somewhere where there isn’t snow. But because I fancy some sun that I can go outside in without my face freezing off, I’m going to Satellite beach FL in a month.

glitterati :

Being CFBC is typically viewed as a permanent decision.

If you plan on having children at some point then you are not CFBC.

barbie86 :  we leave in half a week for our honeymoon to Hawaii – 3 weeks!!! eek! other travel plans for the year include Texas in March, SoCal in May, Norway in June, Georgia/Florida in November, and then heading to Tanzania (to climb Kilimanjaro) and South Africa (for a wedding) sometime early 2019 (: We’ll also probably throw in some camping weekends and hopefully a week up in Vermont in there too!

barbie86 :  that’s awesome! this is actually pretty light for us in terms of vacay because we’ll pretty much be on the grid the whole time (so Darling Husband can claim he’s “WFH” for many of the trips). our “big” vacations are typically week+ backpacking trips (summer 2016 we left for a month) out west to the national parks. but no big backpacking trip this year because Hawaii is where he’s spending his vacation time.

groomsister35 :  I actually love Canada! Well, the parts I’ve been (Quebec, Montreal, Nova Scotia, and Toronto) I’d love to go back to different parts though.

Just booked my flight to Florida .Was able to fly into Sanford instead of Orlando so I can escape that hell. My brother and fam were thinking of coming down the same week though and I’m really hoping that they don’t. As much as some parents love to go on about how they can still travel and take vacations with kids, a vacation with kids is completely different  than without. Right now they’re just planning for a day or two and if they do I’ll go stay with my cousin on the other side of town.
