There will probably be more moissanite coming on the market. Of what quality? who knows.

I think the difference here is really in the cut. The AG Ultra has a more diamondlike cut. That is something I prefer because I don’t like the splintery moissanite cut. Note I don’t say that it has a diamond cut because it doesn’t – the AG reminds me of a transitional cut diamond – but the cut is more diamondlike.

I haven’t seen an F1 in person, but I know the cut quality and appearance of moissanite varies widely. I’ve had more consistency in amora gems (I own four and have ordered and sent back many more) and I’ve had excellent service from the maker of amora gems so that is the direction I can personally vouch for.

DashKal:  Here’s where you can view the C&C F1 H&As on Moissanite Co’s website. 🙂

I don’t think they show any jewelry with pricing for the F1 H&As. If you’re looking for a finished piece of jewelry with a F1 H&A, you’d just need to email them ([email protected]) to request pricing. When I ordered my new Forever One wedding set, they didn’t have any Forever One info on the site yet and Chris provided me with all of the info/details via email. He was fantastic to work with. I can’t speak to the Amora Gems because I don’t have one, but I’ve worn a diamond wedding set for 15&1/2 years and just got my Forever One Moissanite set last night and can tell you that I think my new F1 Moissanite set is more stunning than my diamond set. It’s absolutely gorgeous – totally colorless with the most amazing sparkle and fire! From all that I’ve seen and heard about Amora Gems, though – I don’t think you can go wrong either way! I think both are amazingly beautiful stones without the potential ethical concerns or pricetag of a diamond!  GOOD LUCK!

I don’t have a forever 1 moissanite but I do have an amora gem ultra. I use to have a forever brilliant moissanite, and in comparison I much prefer the amora gem. Warmth isnt what bothers me with moissanite, it’s the cut and the extreme fire/rainbow sparkle. Yes it’s beautiful to see all the colors, but to me this was the deal breaker. The amora gem definitly performs more like a diamond, still has some fire but mostly white sparkle. The cut is gorgeous and looks like an ideal cut hearts and arrows diamond. The forever 1 hearts and arrows has a beautiful cut too but still looks somewhat splintery to me. But either one would be a good choice if your wanting a white stone that isn’t a diamond.

Here’s a couple pics for reference. 1.65 carat G Vs1 amora gem ultra with diamond halo 🙂

I owned both and I much prefer F1 to AG. The AG’s has such chunky facets it almost looks like an antique, transitional cut diamond. It’s always bugged me. And the arrows photograph so harshly.

The F1’s and AG’s are the same 4H sillicon carbide, they are just cut differently from different companies.
