I have been browsing the web for some loose stone, I am looking at 7.5mm round Forever One. I went to C&C main website and looked at all their authorized online retianer and found fireandbrilliance.com. I got confused on their site since they have multiple kinds of Forever one 7.5mm, I was in the impression that if I am looking for 7.5mm round Forever one they will all be the same? Please see below differences they have. Its mind boggling
Certified Round Forever ONE Charles & Colvard Loose Moissanite Stone – 1.5 Carats – E Color – VS1 Clarity $710
Certified Round Forever ONE Charles & Colvard Loose Moissanite Stone – 1.5 Carats – D Color – VS1 Clarity $740
Certified Round Forever ONE Charles & Colvard Loose Moissanite Stone – 1.5 Carats – E Color – VVS2 Clarity $745
Certified Round Forever ONE Charles & Colvard Loose Moissanite Stone – 1.5 Carats – D Color – VVS2 Clarity $785

No two gemstones are ever exactly the same, lab grown included. Forever One from C&C is anywhere from D-F color, IF- VS2 clarity, so there will be variances between stones. Some retailers will base their prices off a combination of clarity, color, and size, some will charge the same for all of them regardless, so you can choose to buy from someone who knows exactly what you are buying, or you can order one and get anything from F/VS2 to D/IF. Then there is the issue of cut, and you want someone who knows what to look for to screen out poorly cut stones, since C&C does not do that well.
Good luck with your search, and if you have any specific questions there are loads of people here who can help.

The certified stones are ones that F&B have hand-selected for good cut (a problem with C&C is the cut is hit and miss). Here’s what they say…”We decided to hand-pick only the best moissanite stones for these grading reports. The initial step in grading these gems requires meeting specific quality standards prior to being considered as “Acceptable.” The next qualifying step is to only select the top-tiered gems after they are graded by PGGL leaving only the best stones available for sale.”
Like MrsCassie said, the lab grown stones are ‘graded’ to give you options when you buy. Anything down to VS2 will be fine. Color wise, you will largely not see the difference between and E and F. So, I’d say go with the least costly one “Certified Round Forever ONE Charles & Colvard Loose Moissanite Stone – 1.5 Carats – E Color – VS1 Clarity $710”.
Before you decide, however, go look at MossaniteCo’s Hearts&Arrows. Several bees have owed many moissy and recommend MoCo Hearts&Arrows over the C&C F1. The difference is the cut. The H&A cut results in a more ‘diamond like’, here is DonutGirls33’s thread. http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/its-finally-here-ha-moissanite-upgrade-from-moco-pic-heavy/

I found a jeweler in Ebay that sells the same def forever one for around $500 with certificate from C&C, is there anything negative anout this? does C&C thow out bad forever ones to smaller jewelers? There is a return policy but i just dont want to hassle iwth it if I am going to get less of a stone.

I do not know this for a fact, BUT I do have a feeling that they may end up giving lesser quality stones to smaller jewelers, like you mentioned.
My Fiance bought my moissy from a smaller online jeweler for a significantly lower price, and there is an issue with the stone. It’s one of the square brilliant forever ones, and the height of the stone is slightly shorter on one side of the stone than the other. (Not sure if that makes sense, as it’s hard to describe). It’s caused the stone to look slightly crooked in the setting. We’re in the process of seeing what we can do to resolve it.

Like others have mentioned, you really do want a person or a company to hand pick the stone for you to ensure that you are getting a nicely cut one because it makes a big difference just like it does in diamonds. I have a forever one cushion cut that was hand picked from a batch of 8 by my jeweler and I was present for it. I was able to see even the difference from the best to the second best. I could see that the cut was more defined and even in mine and mine was sparklier.
I would not suggest buying off of ebay because it’s a crapshoot. Yes, it will come with certification but the poorly cut c and c stones come with certification as do the ideal cut ones.

You can still get a loose stone from Moissaniteco. Some bees have purchased there and have been very happy.
