I don’t have either now cause I determined moissanite wasn’t for me, but I did have a C&C at one point, and a chinese vendor ring at one point… honestly the C&C seemed better quality and looked more real than the chinese vendor (Transgems) .. the chinese one was VERY splintery and looks very cheesy in a way. Im sorry I don’t have comparison picutres to show you

I have seen C and C moissanite and compared it to a diamond. I got a ring from an Etsy seller from China and the seller insists it’s moissanite.

C and C round brilliant has a wonderful rainbow sparkle. I prefer the colorless F1, since the near colorless has a very obvious yellow tint, esp in direct sunlight. If you hold a colorless F1 C and C up in direct sunlight, it has a nice pale blue tint to it. Diamonds do that too, if they have flourescence to it.

If you want something that resembles a diamond more, you may want a hearts and arrows moissanite. It’s cut in the same way an “ideal cut” diamond is. It sparkles slightly less than the round brilliant, but it still sparkles plenty! The round brilliant seemed a bit kaleidescope like and the hearts and arrows had a more controlled sparkle.

When I first saw my Etsy ring from China, I was convinced it was a cheaply cut CZ. I have no idea what vendor it’s from, but the seller insisted twice that it was moissanite. It must have been a very cheap brand, because the ring cost about 100 dollars. Now that I’ve worn this ring in different lightings, I think it may be moissanite after all. In some lightings, it looks blindingly white and bright. However, it has zero sparkle. It looks dull in a lot of lightings.

So that was completely nonrespnsive, but I hope it helps.

peperomia :  The C&C ring I had had diamonds down the shank and you couldn’t really tell the difference..it looked very close to the diamonds, I think the trick with moissy’s is the bigger you go the less they tend to look like diamonds, I had a 6.5 MM cushion so it wasn’t TOO large, and the chinese was 8MM

I searched through old pix and I found one of the CC and the chinese moissanite so I could show you.. I feel the chinese one looks less quality!

HERE IS THE C&C — real diamonds down the shank and diamond band

And here is the chinese moissy with moissys down the shank, and the other ring was a CZ rose gold plated, I didn’t get a diamond band to go with this cause I was on the fence about keeping it

After all of this I ended up with a sapphire LOL surprised

peperomia :  I’m just a non traditional kinda gal! 😃 I like richer dark stones, always was obsessed with Princess Diana’s ring, and we got married in Sept… so it all just kinda came together! Plus I love bigger stones … like at least 3 carat size …and for me a gemstone looks better as a bigger stone than a diamond or moissanite. As for the emojis I just add them from my keyboard on my cell phone and there is a little drop down in the comment box when your typing from a desktop.. sorry not very descriptive haha

Hi,

I’ve owned both but two very different cuts. I had a 7mm hearts and arrow cut from C&C. It was pretty and very shiny. I think it was just too rainbowy for me.

A few rings later I purchased an OEC from StarsGem and I absolutely love it. The cut is so beautiful and sparkles a lot too. But it’s a chunkier cut and very different from the H&A. I have seen the H&A’s from StarsGem and think they are beautiful!

I do find the OEC to be sparkly. Just not as disco ball like as the C&C. I found some old videos I have for both stones but I don’t have a good one of the C&C in indirect sunlight.

I originally purchased a solitare OEC to see if I liked the cut. I personally feel the moissanites from StarsGem are just as clear as C&C’s. Hope the videos help!

I have both and the MoCo looks more real, had more depth, has more sparkle, than the Chinese. I recommend C&C.
