Honestly, I am not a fan of CD favors at all. I have receieved them at several weddings and other events and I always throw them out. Another couples favorite love songs is not what I want to listen to.

@Bostongrl25:

Agreed– I really dislike cd favors for that reason.

Go with what you want!

I think CD favors are a better choice then picture favors. Honestly, anyone that I’ve known that has got a picture favor, tossed it.

And with the CD, they will listen to it at the very least once πŸ™‚

We are doing cd’s for our wedding favors, and we love them! We used our new computer and was able to burn our engagement pictures onto the cd’s. Everyone we know that has gotten cd’s as favors from a wedding loved them, and STILL has them in their car! We have gotten candy and other favors ( pictures, mason jars, candles etc) and NEVER kept them. They just ended up in the garbage.

Don’t let anyone tell you other wise if you like them.

We are also doing cd’s as favors and I love them. We are using the lightscribe disc’s and also putting our e-pics on them and they are awesome. With this being said….. what other songs are you putting on them besides the wedding songs???

We used the light scribe cd’s also, and they came out great!

Fiance suggested that we cronicle our relationship through the songs. So the first one is about how we met and other significant points in our relationship are there after. For example we met online so our first song on the cd is “Just Haven’t Met You Yet” by Michael Buble. So cute!

I just finished decorating the cd cases. I will post a pic of them.

@AIJS52911 OMG so cute. I love the way they are decorated. How long did these take you to completely complete them? We are just starting them now!!!!

@jhair1111: I’m glad they didn’t come out too cheesy!

We first had to burn the pictures onto them which takes awhile to do. I think it was almost 10 mins for one cd. We chose four of our best e-pics and just kept burning every night when we got home from work (tried to get at least 10 or so a night). Then we took turns burning the music on both our computers after we made our playlist. The music part is quick, only takes about 2 mins or so to burn the cd. Just last week I started doing the ribbons. I did 25 or so at a time and that moved pretty quickly. I watched tv and glued gunned my heart out! I only have 100 done so far…we are working on the other 50. I think the picture part took the longest. I was also very impatient and didn’t wait for any of my bridesmaids to help me! lol That make make it go by quicker….Good luck!!

I personally love the CD idea.  Maybe you could mix it up with a few latin songs or do two CD’s.  Some in English and some in Spanish.  Put them in two seperate baskets and let your guests take their pick.

I think they’re cute, but I think you should look at what it costs and what the level of effort is to make them. My cousin did them and everyone liked them, the couple made personalized labels and they looked great.

I do agree with PPs that I never listened to it, though. I don’t even know what I did with mine! I think that’s the case with many non-edible favors, though–some people will use it and some won’t. If it’s not too pricey or labor intensive, then go for it!

I never listen to CD’s. It’s the world of MP3 now πŸ™‚
