Hope all is well. I have a question about an invitation idea I’d like to try. I wanted to make an invitation that looked like a cd case (the wallet kind that you open with the cd slot on the inside). I planned to have the inside have a printed invitation and the other sides have travel, accommodation, etc. information and the CD was going to have love songs that are important to me and my FH. The problem is that, in order to put the songs on the CD I have to go through a ton of hoops trying to get master use and mechanical licenses from the record labels and publishing companies. Since I am not a big-named record producer or some way up there executive, I can’t seem to get any help with this. I have managed to get two artists to agree to allow me to use their songs, but that’s it. I still really want to do this invitation because I think it’s so cool.
My question: I’m thinking of making a CD that you put in your computer instead of an audio CD (that way I can stop chasing my tail trying to get licenses). Anybody have any ideas on what I can include on the CD? I was thinking of something liike printable maps to ceremony and reception. I’m drawing a blank on everything else.
