Did you get your horomoes tested? Maybe you have PCOS? I do, but my cycles are regular. Irregular cycles are a symptom of PCOS.

Peaceoutboyscout:  definitely hormone testing. As for the stress that can absolutely be a factor. I suffer from anxiety as well. If you haven’t tried mindfulness meditation I would give it a shot- it’s very helpful. Also breathing exercises To calM your nervous system. You can google them

Oh yeah. Hormone testing for sure! Maybe they can refer you to a doctor that does care about this stuff?

How long are your cycles normally? Most doctors don’t do much till it’s been over 90 days without AF, sorry to say but it’s normal to have a long cycle occasionally. mine range from 35-60 and average around 45 days.

So generally the doctors won’t do anything until you’ve missed a period for 3 months. With that being said though I have 2 questions. Are you newly off birth control? My cycle right off birth control was 63 days. Also was it a general practice doctor or and OBGYN? I had terrible luck getting my general doctor to take me serious about the fact that something was wrong with my TTC journey but the obgyn was very proactive.

My periods were irregular for almost 12 months after coming off BC. I was told that was completely normal, takes anywhere between 3-12 months to regulate.

Not much you can do except wait. Good luck.

Totally normal for cycles to vary in irregularity while coming off BCP. I don’t think a different Doctor would do anything different at this point. Sorry it’s frustrating.

knpswp:  I disagree, I went to see a doc that only ran a thyroid test…I spent two years without a diagnosis. I switched to a different medical group and a new doc – got in to see an endo right away.

Peaceoutboyscout:  I sometimes get those marathon cycles too – my doc said it’s hormonal because I didn’t ovulate that particular cycle. We used Clomid and Ovidrel this cycle to make sure i ovulated for IUI although some months i do ovulate naturally – you should ask if they will test your hormone levels.

I’ve had this for years – cycles that go from 28-75 days. I do not have PCOS – just irregular periods. I’ve been on and off BCP to regulate. Often it can be hormonal or due to stress. I never thought I was stressed, but I don’t think my body always agreed with my head.
