I think it would be a great idea. I love the idea of getting the students to decorate them 🙂

Great in the 90’s, dated and outdated now. Also borderline file sharing.

I’m not a fan of most favors, but I’ve always loved CD favors!

I like the idea but, as MrsBroccoli said, there are laws against burning CDs. I doubt any of your guests would dob you in for that though!

    Lame.

I really like food favours. Maybe some cookies in a white paper bag that your students decorated?

What if your guests aren’t really into the same sort of music? What if they already have most if the songs on their iPod? I’d be gutted if I spent ages perfecting the perfect playlist and nobody really cared about it.

Honestly, I’d never listen to it, and likely just leave it there.  Plus, no offense, but I wouldn’t want a CD that was decorated by someone who isn’t really connected to you other than being assigned to your class.  It just doesn’t seem like it fits well if that’s the only teacher/school related thing at the wedding,

In my head the idea of a CD favour is quite cute but I think it may just be a waste. I know if I had to receive a CD I’d prob go “aw sweet”, then maybe rip it to hard drive or Ipod and then forget about it.

If you wanna stick to the teacher theme, perhaps go with personalised pens or pencils? Now that I would definitely use and every time I used it I’ll think of your wedding 🙂

I probably wouldn’t be interested in taking one home only because I pretty much only listen to electronic music. It is a cute idea though. =)

I like the CDs, but even better, the soft pretzels and cookies are awesome!! I think if you can’t settle on a favor that your really into then just skip them. It sounds like you are doing a lot already, plus all the new years hats and all….everyone will be happy 🙂
