I need some help from fellow bee’s! I am having a barn reception and I would like to dress the ceiling with some fabric swag. But I just don’t have any idea where or how to start. I don’t know for starters what kind of fabric to use or how much I would need to buy and then where can I order it in that length from. The length I would need is 48ft. I am going to do the strands of lights for the sides and then down the middle I would like to add the swag. The swag style I am looking for is in the second picture. Does anyone have any ideas, tips, suggestions? I appreciate all and any help thanks in advance!!

Make sure you order extra fabric so you can get the swag. It takes about 1/3 more than your measurements.
Find something in the middle of your venue that you can use to attach the center of the swag. If there is a pipe or beam you can simply spread the fabric over it. If not, you can hang a wooden dowel, a bamboo rod etc from fishing line attached to a hook in the ceiling, then spread the fabric over that.
Find a point on the wall to attach the swag. In the second picture, you can see that because they had numerous swags down the length of the room, they used either an existing pipe, or brought a long pole in, over which they draped the fabric.
For just one swag, you can either staple the fabric to the wall, if that is allowed, or again, attach a dowel to thewall to drape the fabric over.
You can use any lightweight sheer fabric that you find at an inexpensive price. Tulle, chiffon, voile, theater scrim etc. Just look around at your local fabric outlets.
