This isnt fully cfbc related, but theres a great pub by my house. They dont allow children, but they recently made their patio dog-friendly. They got SOOOO much shit from parents like “if you dont allow my child to come eat chicken wings I will never patronize you” and I’m like “good?” haha. There are so many child-friendly restaurants, why do you want to bring them to a bar??? Let the adults have somewhere. There is even a child-friendly pub like 5 mins away!

A dog bar opened up down the road from us. Full service bar for people and dogs (yay for dog beer!), dog park outside, dogs allowed off leash inside to mingle and chill. Parents had a FIT because it was yet *another* establishment that seems super fun to frequent, but their kids aren’t allowed.
Parents, please… do you really want your kids in a bar, and also, around that many off leash dogs?
Another reason I’m glad I’m CFBC is that I never have to worry about whether I’ll be welcome at any establishment (assuming I’m not out with my dogs). But, if I am out with my dogs, I understand that not everywhere is dog friendly. I sometimes wish parents had the same outlook. Not everyone wants kids around, nor should they be allowed into places like bars.
