Just for fun, what celebrities have you met? Especially when you least expect it…
About 2 years ago, SO and I were going to DC one day and decided to take the metro there. We parked at the metered parking garage at the Silver Spring metro center. When we got out of the car, a guy in a business suit and suitcase came up to us. He asked us if we wanted to park in his spot since he was leaving and there was still money left in the meter. SO said sure but all I could think was that he looked really familiar.
We hopped back into our car and then it dawned on me… and all I could get out to SO was guy… dress! SO was confused. Haha, it was Monty from ‘Say Yes to the Dress – Atlanta.’ His Georgia plates was something along the lines ‘JACKEDUP’. That confirmed it for me.

@teaberrie: That is an awesome encounter! Sounds like a great guy, he always cracks me up.
I’ve had brief encounters with Dog the Bounty Hunter and Ty Pennington, both working at charity events, and both seemed nice.

I have tons so I’ll just name one Leon Spinks was a drinking buddy of ours for years. He’s a world heavy weight boxing champ and Olympic gold medalist. Nicest guy you’ll ever meet.

@teaberrie: I live in LA so it’s pretty common to run into celebrities. I think I posted on an old thread about my very weird second date with my fiancé when we were stalked around a bookstore by Eric LaSalle (E.R.), saw Craig Furguson, Ben Stein and I literally ran into Dane Cook. The next day Fiance text a picture of him and WeeMan from Jack Ass, who he had just run into on his lunch break. Weird couple days!
But by far my favorite celebrity I’ve ever met was Neil Patrick Harris. He is such a sweet guy and very down to earth, especially considering that he’s been famous almost his whole life. He was literally cleaning the port-o-potty at a show he produced when we asked him for a picture. He cleaned up, posed for tons of pictures and talked to us for a long time even though I’m sure he had other stuff to be doing.

@MexiPino: +1 I also live in LA and have seen/met a ton of Celebrity’s over the years. Due to my current job I see some high profile celebritys at 2-3 times a week. My Fi and I also have friends that are in the industry and who are friends with celebrity’s. It is strange to go hang out with your friend and someone famous is there but hey they are regular people to I guess.
The strangest encounter I had was with Alec Baldwin…he was very much like his character on 30 rock. He kind of creeped me out but in a funny way.

@Lizabean: yeah- The Grove on a weekday always means seeing SOMEONE. My cousins are musicians who have played with every big Latin artist ever so I know that weird feeling of seeing someone famous just chilling in your uncle’s backyard! It must be hard though. The day we saw NPH we also ran into Michael Cera, who was at the show with a bunch of people. My friends followed him to get a pic but he was sitting in a corner surrounded. I took this as a sign to leave him alone but my pushy ass friends still tried to get to him. When he said he really just wanted to hang with his friends, one of my fiends was all pissy. Like this poor guy owed us his time or something. It was really weird and I felt sorry for him.
