I love the sound of the cello and I would love to walk down the aisle to it. Any one have any suggestions as to something a little different (i.e. not Pachabels Canon) for my processional?

One thing you might try is going to the media dept. of a Barnes & Noble, or another music store large enough to have listening stations, and grab a bunch of cello CDs and listen to excerpts for pieces you like.
A lot of standard violin repertoire can also be done on cello.
Once you find a cellist, they may have lots of ideas and suggestions for you.
You definetely need to check out Steven Sharp Smith on you tube. He is one of the piano guys and is AMAZING. We are using his music along with Jon Schmidt’s for our wedding.
now this is my area 🙂
I used o be a professional cellist, so I think I can help!
Off the top of my head,
– Bach cello suites
I’ll look in my music, and find stuff for you.. PM me if you are interested!
I am using “Nothing Else Matters” as performed by Apocalyptica. Check it out on You Tube!
Oh, yes, definitely the Bach cello suites! Can’t believe I didn’t think of that one earlier!
