@GroundhogDay:  Fiance and i had a their strawberry shortcake at a wedding in October, it was supurb!

We have tried several bakerys as I have VERY high cake standards, we went to Celso’s yesterday.

The Chef cuts chunks from 6 slices of cake, you take the rest home.  They were almond cake with an almond cream filling, red velvet, chocolate truffle, white cake with Bailey’s cream filling, strawberry shortcake and white cake with white chocolate mouse and rasberry mouse.  Prices were reasonable, strawberry shortcake was as great as i remembered, white chocolate mouse was a close second.  We booked!

I went to a tasting there. Cake was good, designs were great. The prices were the highest out of hte 3 vendors that I visited. I am going with Sugar Kneads. The lead baker was on Cupcake Wars on TLC. The cake was great and she was super accomodating!

We booked with them. The cake was light and fluffy and the guy in charge helped us narrow down our vision for what we wanted. Prices were also very reasonable. We tried Highland Bakery too but the cake was just too dense for us.

We did a tasting at Celso’s and really loved the Strawberry Shortcake.  We ended up going with the cake person reccommended by our venue http://www.Sweetcarolinescakes.com.  Her cakes are so good!
