I wouldn’t send another one.  It is possible that they send out the second notice before your census was recorded.

Yeah I have heard that they send out repeat forms generally in locations where returning the census is low, just so that in case people “forgot” or lost it, they’d have another copy easily accessible, as a reminder.

“Ghetto” hu? Not sure what that is supposed to mean, but don’t send in another! If you first one was not received, census workers will probably stop by.

I got it too, but I ignored it because I already filled it out.  It said not to send it twice or you could be double counted.  I figure I got it again because I live in an apartment so maybe they figure it’s harder to get apartment people to fill it out with people constantly moving in and out.

As a side note, I know it’s against the law to not fill it out, but what actually happens to people who don’t?

@keracita: I believe that they can fine you for not filling it out.

@3M: I think that you can pick them up at post offices or something.  You should try and find one though, they will come after you if they don’t hear from you.  EDIT: On their website, they have phone numbers for you to call if you didn’t receive it.  Here they are.

This happened to us also and I filled out the first one and sent it back within a week. I think the forms just crossed paths.

I’m sorry, I understand what “ghetto” means, just not sure what it meant in relation to the census. I think I see now.
