I need some help with my table scape…
My centerpieces are blue ball mason jars – there will be 3 on each table, a 1/2 gallon, quart and pint. The pint jars will have the table numbers on them like this:
The tables (some round seating 10, some square seating 8) will have ivory linens with burlap table runners and vintage doilies under the ball jars. The reception site provides votive candles for free, which is awesome BUT they are used and have old wax all over them. Both my mother and I are in agreement that we should just get our own (new and clean) votives.
My question is, what kind of votive should I get?
Clear round ones:
DIY Lace ones:
Our theme is vintage, country chic – and our colors are aqua and tangerine.
I think I have already decided that the orange is OUT…..but over all i am not sure. I am leaning towards the DIY Lace votives.

I think the lace matches the theme best.

I like the lace, but I am biased I am going to be doing DIY lace votives at my reception.

oo i like the lace ones! or the frosted ones

Yep, the lace ones, or you could get away with just clear (but use this narrow shaped one) I think the round ones don’t fit as well with the scheme & will be too big on the table.

At first I was torn between the lace and the blue…but I think the blue will detract from (or be too much with) the blue ball mason jars. And now that I see the votive pictures all in a row – lace is definitely the winner!

I love the lace! It looks like it came straight out of an Anthropologie catalog. 🙂

ok. so if I go with lace, do i buy the clear votive candles, or the blue ones?
I never thought of covering the blue votives with lace!!!

The rounded and frosted don’t seem to go with your theme as well as the lace ones. The blue are pretty as well though–it depends on what other colors are going to be on the table I think. I love the lacy votives, using clear glass imo.

Buy the clear votive holders, not the blue.

I really like the clear votives with lace!

What about putting lace on the blue ones? You’ll get a soft blue glow through the lace!

My vote is for the lace diy votives. I think they go better with what you are doing for the centerpieces!

I like the lace. It adds a nice feminine contrast to the mason jars (love blue mason jars!) and the burlap of the table number. Very cute!
