Hey October Bees!! =) Hope everything is going well with y’all. I was wondering if any of you have found a good deal on pillar candles? I’m thinking Ikea is probably my best bet. I need to go to the venue and measure the hurricane candle holder options. Sometimes the candles seem to tall…
Any ideas of where to get pillar candles cheap? Thanks girls!

Most likely when you factor in shipping, Ikea will be your best buy.

I found some candles at BBB today that are the right size. A little shorter than the IKEA candles (about 5 inches tall). I think they could work. I may go back to my venue and measure both hurricane candle holder options and see what works best. Then maybe get the candles from Ikea (if the taller ones work). If not I found ones at BBB for a 2 pack = $9.99. So, obviously I’d be going in there w/a coupon. I’d need 4 packs def but possibly 5 total. We’re having 8-10 tables. More than likely 8 >.< but I won’t know until RSVP count comes in. So with a coupon (pre-tax) I could get them for just under $40. Kind of ticks me off but if they work better >.< it’s not like we had to buy a lot for our centerpieces.
Thankfully my venue has mirrored tiles & hurricane candle holders we’re allowed to use. So no additional cost there. So we just need to buy candles, the little gem thingies (bought them w/coupons from Michaels, lol), and then flower petals to scatter which are already paid for also. So to decorate 8-10 tables it won’t cost that much. But, yeah.
IKEA, from what I’ve noticed is only slightly cheaper in regards to big candles. I think they were like $3.49 a candle which kind of comes out to around the same cost anyways because I wouldn’t have a coupon for that store.
I think I’ll get the little candles for outdoors at the dollar store or Ikea though :). They had a four pack at IKEA for like $1.99 (woot) and then candles at the dollar store are $1 each.
O_O I’m on a mission, lol. Thanks for the suggestions!!! I’m gonna check out those websites. We don’t have Christmas shops or Hobby Lobby here. I hear Hobby Lobby is awesome lol

@Adalita: You go girl! I bought mine lol. I ended up buying them at BBB (with coupons) and the dollar store. Mainly because BBB had the right height/width I needed. Everywhere else had them too tall.
I didn’t even think about making them myself, lol. That’s a good idea!
