You do realize that a 16″ vase will leave the pomander pretty much at eye level for your guests right? Just thought I would mention it in case vision obstruction was a concern.

Now for your question I would recommend hanging crystals for sure! I had them added to our candelabras (33″) and they really added bling. Plus they caught the light of the uplighting and candles and really stood out as the room got darker.

I agree with @Treejewel19:  Get a tape measure, sit down at your dining table and measure 16″ up from the table. 16″ will put the pomander right in the line of sight for guests across the table. if you already have the vases, maybe you could elevate them 4-6″ on a stack of books, a box, a slab of wood etc.

You will find that the bottom of the pomander should be a minimum of 20″ off the table, but that is easy to do by elevating the shorter vases.

@Soon2bMrs.S:  If you go short you will have to go really short to account for the height of the pomander as well. I wouldn’t recommend anything shorter than about 24″ or there abouts. I found during our “test run” that 33″ was the best for us but probably not for everyone.

As for the crystals the florist provided them but I did see similar ones for sale at Michael’s and Jo Ann’s.

Here is  a picture to see the crystals and the height to space ratio for your reference.

what about tealights or frosted votives and some flower petals or mini pomanders scattered around the base.

Here are a few different ways you can do the crystals: Sorry still can’t upload pics- you’ll have to scroll down until you come to the pic

If you use crystals, you can still use tealights or votives. The candlelight will reflect beautifully off the crystals.
