(Closed) Centerpiece flowers – $5 per daisy??? Is this right???

Gerbers are expensive. That does sound about right to me. Does it also include the vase on a square mirrored tile with three votive candles around it and set up and delivery? If it does, that is a really good price.

You could probably do this yourself, but it might end up being around the same price if you buy the vases and stuff

 

The only thing with DIY, is you might be able to recover some of the cost by selling the vases after your wedding

That seems insane to me.  I did Gerbera centerpieces for my friend’s shower and ended up getting 40 gerbera’s in various colors from a floral wholesaler for $65, which is about 1.65 per stem.  You can also order them from costco’s bulk flowers for about $1.12 per stem for 80 stems.  

Granted, those are DIY options, but what you are doing seems pretty simple, so $15 per centerpiece seems unreasonably high if the florist is not also providing the containers, mirrors and votives.

If you are just putting three daisys in a vase then do it yourself.  Remember a florist is also charging for the labor.
