it looks kinda like they are pomanders, as if all the flowers are attached to a styrofoam center that sits on top and the branch runs through it. I dont think it would be a problem to have the flower stems though, I kinda like seeing pretty filler , water, and stems in the vases.

The roses are inserted into floral foam that has been soaked in water. When the flowers are all inserted , the ball is set on top of the square vase.

I would get a styrofoam ball and put the sticks through first. Then get some sort of spray to mimic the ice/snow on the branches. After that I would start adding flowers to the styrofoam ball around the stems. With fall coming up I’m sure you could find some nice natural stems to use if you go for a nice afternoon walk.

You can also buy crystals by the bag at Michael’s etc . Slather the branches with craft glue that dries clear and roll or dip them in the crystyals.
