My theme for my wedding is a little glued together but in my head it works! 🙂 I am shooting for a vintage-garden/tea theme for the wedding. But i have hit a snag in the reception decoration process. Orginally i started out planning on using long banquet style tables. Well… Venue is picked and they only offer the circular tables… which means throwing my previous thoughts into the wind and trying something else… accept i am stuck!
I currently have Lanterns (the metal kind) and the original plan was to incorporate those (with flowers inside) and then various vintage bottles/books down the length of the label giving in and ecclectic look. I just cannot figure out how to incorporate all of these items on a circular table without making it look to cluttered.
PLEASE HELP! Any thoughts would be appriciated!

What if you did the laterns/flowers on some and the books on others?

I have thought about that as an option, but kind of as a second option, like a just in case. I really want to make sure that the whole space connects and flows well.

i don’t know what your lanterns look like…but maybe if you put the lanterns on top of the books? then you could incorporate the books and flowers on all the tables?

I would alternate the centerpieces from table to table. Sorry to hear you’re idea got messed up, it sounded very cute. Another option is checking to see if you could have different tables brought in instead, the venue would most likely charge you an additional cost for this, but something to think about if you had your heart set on your vision.

If everything is a different height, when clustered together it would look great! You can even use the books to give things different height.
I, too, am having a tea theme, but I’m shooting for a mad hatter tea party from alice in wonderland! My centerpieces are going to be topsy turvy tea cups stacked high.
