I need some help on what color I should paint the lanten and frame. My color scheme is plum, grey, and orange. The table cloth will be white and a purple runner. I was thinking of painting the latern a matte light grey and staining the picture frame a bit darker to match the wood slice. The picture frame will have our table names. Also need to decide on the paper color for that! So many decisions!
I am also not sure about the flowers to put in the jar. I was thinking orange roses and some babys breath?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks so much!

@LPitty: i don’t think i’d paint the lantern. it’s neutral. the frame would be great in a glossy medium toned grey. i think the flowers need to be shorter. they are competing the with the height of the lantern. have you considered just a few orange flower petals scattered on the wood circle instead of in the jar?

If you must paint the lantern, I would paint it grey.I like it black too.
Like the pp, I would have the flowers in a shorter jar or vase.

@LPitty: I agree with leaving the lantern as is and staining the frame to a darker wood color. For the table number, an orange backdrop with plum lettering would really pop. I suggest not using baby’s breath at all because it would make the centerpiece look too busy. Maybe use spray roses or orange mums instead of regular sized roses and you can also use baby food jars or tealight/votive holders as smaller containers.
