I can’t help you on where to get the sand. but I love the idea.  When you add more sand you might be able to do a taller candle and 2 shorter candles. That bowl looks big enough for that.  I really like the red starfish!

You should get a smaller bowl and a smaller candle instead. The shells and the star fish look super tiny, probably tinier than what the actually are. To me the proportions look a little off.

More sand would definitely make a bigger difference. Oh MAYBE you should try a shorter wider candle with the 12” bowls. Hmmm I wonder how that would look. IDK just so many different ideas.
