Did you mean to post  this in the dress thread? You’ll probably  get  better resposnes if you move it.

gijanedoe:  I like it too.  I’m guessing you’ll put the candles in candle holders.  Seeing the open flames next to books makes me nervous.  Haha!

gijanedoe:  I think it looks good but I do suggest you make a model.  It would take a very large sice of wood to hold all those elements, unless you are using tenny, weeny books.

If you are using a gourd or a “white” pumpkin as a vase, I would use ivory or cream colored candles, not white. They are a bit stark.

The copper candles would be PERFECT! My only suggestion was going to be to change the candle color.

Cute, but I think there are too many candles. It looks a little cluttered. Maybe scale back to one or two.

Michaels has all their fall stuff on clearance right now… may want to check them out for your candle needs.

gijanedoe:  It looks a bit all over the place with maybe too many elements to me. I would have to see a mock up to really know what it would look like.

The wood looks like it’s going to have to be huge to be able to have space for all of that.

You should think about candle holders of some kind. Bare candles next to books and on wood would make me nervous.

I like the idea a lot…but I think you’re going to have to play around with the execution to get it right.

I like where you’re going! I think it looks a bit cluttered though. I’d split it: Half the tables get books and candles, and half get flowers & candles. All get pumpkin table numbers. I’d also sub glass vases for the flowers — the glass will catch the light better, and plus hollowing out gourds will be more trouble than it’s worth. And you already have one gourd on the table. And in that case, it may be nice to mix up the table numbers w/ different gourds — doesn’t have to be all pumpkins.

I love the idea with the gord and pumpkin! Are you planning on making all of the table decorations yourself?  I would just suggest to make sure you have time before your wedding to making all of these items and do it close enough to the wedding that they won’t be getting moldy.  This is super cute still 🙂
