I’ve been going back and forth and back in forth in my mind what I want for centerpieces and I think I’ve settled on the idea of having lanterns as them and maybe later adding some other decorative touches to them. What do you think about the price of these? (I would need approximately 12 for the wedding) Is there anything you think I should do to spruce these up a bit besides putting candles in them. The reception location we are having will also be giving us mirrored tiles and a single votive to go with them.

I think those lanterns are beautiful and that’s a good price.
I also saw something similar on a wedding blog recently, except they used tiny lanterns (just big enough to fit a tealight) with a name tag/seating assignment tied to each one. So then I guess the guests would accumulate their lanterns at their table which would give a nice glow I think, and double as favors. So that’s name card holder, favor, and centerpiece all in one! Or it could be at least.

Ikea sells lanterns http://www.ikea.com/us/en/search/?query=lantern. These come in solid black or solid silver for $7.99, but they have ones starting at $3.99 as well:
I personally love the look of lanterns as centerpieces. I’ve seen pictures where they have moss underneath them as well, and it looks so amazing.
And sorry, I can’t get on to ebay from work, it’s blocked, otherwise I would have commented on your link 🙁 Can you post a picture?

I think the ones you found are really pretty. If youre thinking theyre too plain, maybe add a little greenery or something around the base?

Those are beautiful! I think they would look nice with flowers at the base, but not blue ones of course. What are your wedding colors?

I love how simple and beautiful this looks. it also adds a little height.

Oh, I think lanterns look very romantic! If you’re worried about them looking too plain, I like the suggestions to add some moss or greenery around them. I think that would be enough, and would give kind of an “enchanted forest” look.

I was going to post the second pic that zippylef: posted. I think it is a great look and could be easily adapted to your Moroccan style lanterns.
Hanging them on a stand is another alternative.

@FutureMrsMcDermott: I was thinking the blue because that’s one of our wedding colors. But I could look at other colors too (or none)
