What type of budget are we talking?  Do you have more detail on the mood/style you’re going for?  Is this DIY?

@ybrittany:  Are you having any sort of theme?

Right off hand, more for DIY, I see different sized pillar candles in hurricanes with a sparkly silver sand in the bottom.  We found gold sand at Christmas time at Michaels – they had silver too.

Okay so several Ideas – but other than colors you have to tell us what your overall feel or look you are wanting.   search out table runners.  They are too expensive to rent and add so much to the table.  Lots of votives or many sizes of candles so that you can shop bargain instead of all matchy.  you can add small vases with a few flowers in each – wildflowers, daisies, even a simple Rose –  are easy and sturdy.  Mmm..  also search your grandmas or mothers house or places like that.  you can get lots of silver or crystal or cut glass bowls to add treats to your cake table.

If you could tell us anything else about your “look” other than your colors it would help a lot.

Just some ideas  – but really most of the ideas you can just look up under the DIY centerpieces here.

Here are a few rectangular tables:

I like the idea of using something textural for the runner in the second pic from the left.

A long silver runner would be great. I would just wander the aisles of home stores until  I found something that would work.
