@abales45:  Carnations can be dyed. If you wanted ombre, you could just vary the amounts of time you leave them in the dye, or the amount of dye you add. Put white at the top, darkest blue at bottom, and the rest somewhere in between.

I think you can do the same with roses. Fiance brought me a rose that had been dyed rainbow, so it doesn’t seem like it would be so hard to dye them a single color.

Wedding colors are fuschia & black. Centerpieces will be focus on large buckets in the center of the tables, filled with ice & wine bottles, around the bottom of the buckets will be small boutquets of flowers that match the bridal flowers.

For depth we are adding very tall table number/bar menu holders, and tall candleholders. Each place settings will have a tall single cupcake stand. And mostly likely the typical table scatter [gems, flowers].

@abales45:  On all – I like flowers but that really would’ve thrown our budget down the drain.  I paid $350 for 15 of the candelabras and for a CHEAP (looking) floral arrangement I was quoted $45/table.

We had one long estate table set up for our Destination Wedding. I had small arrangements of roses and hydrangeas along with a runner and lots of candles
