I used a waterproof LED light in the bottom of my 24″ cylinder vase with sea glass on the bottom and floating orchids, similar to the picture someone else posted.  For tables that had small centerpieces, I got battery operated flickering tea lights and put them in FROSTED votive cup.  Make sure if you do this, the votive is frosted – that way you cant see directly through it and the battery operated candle really does look real.  If you use a glass votive that isnt frosted, you will be able to see in it and see the base of the battery candle.

Partylite sells LED pillar candles in groups,  I have used them many times at parties.  They are not too bright, and they flicker like real candles. Very pretty

I have used many different types of fruits as well as mirrors and branches, pine cones, etc. The sky is the limit! Just be sure that you stay true to your theme! Candy buffets are extremely popular and the guests just love them!!
