Despite tons of googling, I can’t seem to find a straight answer! How many inches across should a centerpiece be for a 60 and 72 inch table, respectively? I know you lose more space than you think once you add in table settings (charger, table number, bread plate, knives/forks, three drinks). My florist originally quoted me 10-12 inch centerpieces but I’m worried that will be too small.
I’m attaching an inspiration photo – how big do you think this centerpiece is? I would also fill in with votives etc.

As a reference, our center pieces were about 10″ wide on a 60″ table (table setting complete with charges, wine glasses, and votive candles and flowers)

Our tables were 72″, and we just had a single candelabra at each table. 🙂

aerochickie : hello! Does the 10″ diameter include the flowers or just the base of the vase?

We had 72″ tables and if I had to make a guess, I would say our low centerpieces were between 12-14″. This was before 2 bottles of wine and a bottle of champagne were put out…

kverzosa : 10″ would be the diameter including the flowers (the vases were probably about 5″ in diameter)
