Hi bees! I had my centerpiece trial with my florist today and am now freaking out a little. Originally, when i contacted the decor we were set on natural flowers. However, it seems i have champagne taste on a beer budget, and the centerpieces i fell in love with will be way it off budget with natural flowers since they require so many :'(
Here are the inspiration pics, i asked her to remove the green in pocs and make the flowers in blush and cream tones:
My florist called me yesterday and have me the bad news and two options: either add artificial flowers mixed with real flowers to bring down the cost or pay a lot of money for all natural flowers. I was reluctant at first since artificial flowers look cheap to me and i really don’t want them at my wedding. But u agreed to it anyway and here are the products:
I was really on the fence about the fake flowers, since from far away they might even pass for real flowers but some still looked fake. I really hated the orchids in the middle, you could clearly tell they were artificial even from far away, so i asked her to remove them and got this:
Now i feel it looks disproportionate with alot of flowers on bottom and so little on top, so she suggested taking away the middle candle and putting in a small topiary, which i think might look nice but changes the whole idea of the original picture? I also asked her to put in more pink roses and gold babys breath on the bottom of both centerpieces.
What do yall think? Do the artificial flowers look cheap or am i just being a picky bride? Should i try the topiary idea maybe instead of the vine in the middle? Did i miss anything ? Ahhh so confused, please any advice would be welcome!
P. S. Sorry about the long post and big pics, im not sure how to make them smaller on mobile :/
