So I got the few flowers I ordered today to try to figure out exactly what I want to do about the centerpieces. I was not a fan of the roses I ordered (too small and an off color but I only ordered three). However I loved the pink peonies. I will definitely add a fourth peony on the backside of the centerpiece. I also was considering getting a more open garden rose in a darker fuchsia type pink to put in the middle (yes? no?). I also have a picture of our reception room for reference and my brooch bouquet. The pinks in my brooch bouquet are slightly more purple-ish/darker but I think the color being off isn’t a big deal since we didn’t have a strict color scheme anyway. Also, those wouldn’t be the exact candles we’d use, I’d get different holders and votives instead of the tealights. So what do you think? We were going for simple since the wedding is simpler and small. Any suggestions?
Here’s another picture of the room in this link (the room on the right).

Do you think after having the four peonies I need a darker fuchsia garden rose on top? I’m not sure if that would take away from what’s already there or add to it. I suppose when I order the peonies I could always order a garden rose to see what it looks like and order the rest later if I like it. And thank you.

I think it would be better without the darker rose. I like the symmertry of the flowers, offset by the candles. It’s beautiful, and is going to look fantastic in your reception space!

so pretty! i would try experimenting by adding a fifth peony or the darker rose in the middle…no harm in trying!

I LOVE your bouquet and I think the centerpiece looks great–simple and classy. It might be fun to try adding dimension with a darker garden rose, or there’s the old standby of mirrors underneath, but I definitely don’t think it needs anything else.

Do the flowers look a lot like they’re silk flowers? (I mean, they are, but still). Also, I love that I loved the peonies more because right now they’re on closeout so they’re cheaper.

they don’t look very fake in the pictures…i would ask someone else how they look in person though.

Agreed; from the picture you can’t tell either way.

I really like it. It is soft and romantic and not the “in your face” centerpieces that we are seeing more and more of.

Here are two closer up pictures of the actual flowers (they’re just silk, not real touch).

My fiance decided that the flowers don’t look real, but they still look really pretty.

Ok so I added the rose and the other peony to the centerpieces. The color is messed up in the picture from the top but you get the idea. I’m not sure which way I like it better yet so I’ll take any criticism/suggestions into consideration. And in the picture with the rose, pretend the candles are still around it.
