We’re doing mostly non floral centerpieces. Our colors are yellow, navy, and grey. We’re thinking of using lemons & blueberries.

I like how in the first picture the mirror & centerpiece are up higher (not directly on the table).

I like the flower in the water centerpieces.  I was thinking of doing them for my wedding, but am nervous that they are too “trendy” now and I will look back in 10 years and laugh that I ever thought they were pretty.

My centerpieces will definately have both flowers and candles, though!

Since you like the submerged flowers but what to do non-floral, could you submerge the fruits?   I think submerging maginifies whatever is in the water though, so they would have to be some pretty perfect looking lemons 🙂

Here is what we did: wedding candles decor diy los angeles Z10031303 z10031303

The picture isn’t actually from my reception, but it’s where we got the idea (unfortunetly I don’t have any of our reception… : ()

We just got a ton of drinking glasses (7-8 per table, 1-2 of which were small candle holders) and filled them with candles of different sizes.  It was BEAUTIFUL and very romantic/intimate setting.

@DCSquared: : ) Thanks!  We did less flowers, too!  I don’t love flowers as centerpieces… this was a good way to have a pretty romantic centerpiece without a TON of flowers!
