I love the submerged flower and a floating candle on top. I think it is beautiful. In my mind I had like 5 or 7 different height cylinder vases with a purple flower(s) submerged and a silver floating candle on top.
My fiance says it reminds him of an aquarium…FAIL.
What should I do. Our colors are black and silver with a touch of purple. THe tables will have black linens, silver chargers so I really wanted to pop the purple in the centerpiece.

Do you want it to have height? Do you want DIY? Do you want flowers? or something a little less traditional
Any guidelines at all other than your color?
You could do a nice tall vase (so people can talk beneath it- you dont want it blocking view) with purple branches in it.

If you can’t change his mind after he sees some pics, here is a simple idea. It could even be a DIY. You could substitute a large tropical leaf wrapped around the inside of the vase Hydrangeas will be in season. Add some votive candles.

I was going for alot of round vases the tallest being about 10″ and the rest of different heights all with floating candles and submerged flowers. It will be a DYI, I am trying to use as few flowers as possible as I am super allergic to pollen and I figured the submerged ones will not really cause me to have a sneezing attack…that would be awful since my sneezing attacks can last up to 10-15 mins.
I want simple and elegant. And keep in mind a tight bugdet 🙂

Mine are similiar sounding to what you want.. I think they look nice! Although 5-7 cylinders might be a bit much for 1 table! And it gets expensive!
