@annasaf83:  I LOVE Yankee candles!  I wish I had empty ones, but they seem to last forever.  I’ve been using empty pickle jars for my table number holder centerpieces.  I made these using an LED tealight, leftover cardstock, moss and tape and glue to hold it all together.  I can’t seem to capture it in the photos, but the lights flicker inside the little houses.

http://pinterest.com/pin/29766047508980044/    is my favorite- likely your candle jars won’t be as tall

http://pinterest.com/pin/29766047508912370/    doesn’t do much for me

http://pinterest.com/pin/29766047508896287/    love the idea of memory candles- guests will walk around to see the different pics- you could add color with some beads around the candle or add colorful votive holders or a runner

http://pinterest.com/pin/29766047508051773/    would be more effective with an odd number using jars of different sizes

http://pinterest.com/pin/29766047508035498/   flower arrangements can be expensive-even using your jars. You can cut the cost by doing them yourself with whoeslale flowers, or just use one flower such as hydrangea heads.

Another way to do memory jars is to submerge the photo in vegetable oil. This gives a vintage look but the color may not be right for your wedding.

@annasaf83:  You should try and see if you could do #1 by:

-anchoring a silk flower in the bottom of your jar with a bit of florist putty

– add a few glass beads

– top with a champagne glass- (you might have to break off the bottom to get it to fit inside your jar

– add water and floating tealights

@annasaf83:  Have you thought of doing candles as favors? Yankee candle makes personilized candles as favors with your picture, names and wedding date. Its a very cool idea!

I knew that I wanted centerpieces that had more glass and lights involved than a big floral centerpiece. I decided I love the look of large martini glasses with a submersive purple LED light, clear crystal rocks, water and one floating votive candle with rose and orchid petals floating. It was on a round mirror (to help pick up the light) with more flower petals surrounding the mirror). I loved how they came out!

@annasaf83:  Thank you! I liked that they were elegant and pretty without being fussy or cumbersome. People could talk to each other without having to try to peer around the centerpiece. That bugs me! lol.
