What about painting with mod podge (glue) and sprinkling on loose glitter?

@mcasto:  I don’t think so. I bought mine at Walmart and I don’t think it was more than $5-$10.

Girlfriend, I wanted to do the same thing and checked all over the website.  There are a few methods, but by the time you buy all the materials, take the time to do them, you may not get what you want — in other words, they wind up being a project that looks like a 5th grader did them.  I found this site that sells frosted glasses.  The price was good and I thought the look was modern and elegant.  This would be perfect for your ribbon flowers.

what about doing this? You can create any design you want – this one was done wiht lace and then pray paint white. My friend did these for her wedding and they turned out great.

These are the ones from my friend’s wedding. She just used tape I believe. Doesn’t look like a 5th grader project to me…
