I love the centerpiece idea. I don’t think rocks would look bad, but another idea that just randomly popped into my head….jelly beans?

You can always insert a smaller vase inside the bigger vase for water and put the jellybeans in between both vases.

I think they look great! Very cute idea!  I like the jelly bean idea too, but people might eat them during the night! lol

@MsPanda: Well there would be a smaller thinner vase inside the mason jar so that would pretty much hold them up.  Besides, at that point it probably wouldnt matter anymore, everyone would be in their seats!

What about waterbeads? I think clear ones would look cool in the jar and keep plants hydrated!

Also, sometimes craft stores have like 40% to 50% off coupons. I go to hobby lobby and they have coupons frequently. You can buy them little by little. MOST of my vases and candle holders were bought at the dollar tree. If you have a hobby lobby near you and are buying votives they sell a set of 12 votives with a clear candle holder and if you bring in the 40% coupon it’s $3.60 for the set of 12! What a steal!
