If you are close to Fresno, Ca the Japanese Garden in Woodward park is $400. You don’t have to get married in the morning anymore. You can now pick any time as long as its free. The redwood glen area ( where all the trees are) in Woodward park is Free!!

i had my reception at my parents’ home, but i almost had it at place called river island. it’s actually someone’s home/yard that they fixed up to host weddings and such. they have a pretty nice set up, but it’s on the outskirts of sanger, so it can be kinda far depending on where your guests are coming from (not a whole lot of hotels nearby either). when i was planning my wedding he was charging $1600 (i think?). but i believe you’d have to be in charge of set up/clean up, which can be a bother.

@DeniiseMarie:  if you go with the Japanese gardens- check out the linen shop for chair rentals. She has a low low delivery fee. I got quotes from walker Lewis rents and a few other rental companies and it was such a small difference to go with The Linen Shop and get the Chiavari Chairs.

Also check out my thread I posted on my AWSOME budget reception venue. DiCicco’s in old town Clovis has an AMAZING room to rent and the whole thing is super cheap!!

Fresno state’s allumni house is gourgous and budget friendly if I remember. Before you book get a quote from the university’s catering company as you have to use them.

if you want to do an iPod dj, I’m going with a local company that rents out the professional dj setups  with lights for $120 And $60 more for a gobo. $15 a light for uplighting.

Soulmates Photography is AMAZING and most of his packages will come with a flush mount album!!!

message me if you need any help!

oh, yeah, i forgot about the alumni house at fresno state! my cousin got married there and it was beautiful.

the chaffee zoo also hosts weddings, but if you want to party all night, it may not be the spot for you. i think you’d have to clear out kinda early.
