Hi Bee! Congrats on your upcoming wedding. I also live in central NJ and we booked Ultimate Party Central for our photo, video, DJ and photobooth. Because we did a package deal I am not sure exactly how much just photography would be but they are great!

Had a fantastic experience with Alexa Nahas photography. I would say that she has a non-posed documentary style. She’s based in Philly but I know she travels. My wedding was in NJ. http://www.alexanahas.com/

I’m getting married in June and using Something Blue Photography! The owner/ photographer’s name is Susan. She is AMAZING and has the cutest pinterest-worthy office in Toms River. She’ll travel anywhere in NJ My fiance was sold after she offered him a cold beer when we got there lol

ll2018 :  Here is a link to our photographers – they offer a number of packages and will give a personalized quote also.  http://www.kgmexpressions.com/

Photography was our number one priority and we are thrilled with their work.  They were our best vendor too.  We had our online gallery of over 700 images nine days after our wedding.  They later retouched the ones we wanted.

I can’t recommend Lisa Hibbert Photography enough, she’s from Jersey City. Her personality is so fun and her work is to die for ๐Ÿ˜ LOVED having her there with me all day! Got all 1,000+ finished photos when we got home from our honeymoon, only 11 short days after the wedding!

Met with KGM expressions that pp mentioned when I was looking and almost booked with them, their work is great too!

Others I really liked were M2 Photography as well as Off Beet Productions.

We are using Idalia Photography. They are an awesome wife and husband team who are so much fun to work with! We had the best time at our engagement shoot and can’t wait to have them at our June wedding: http://idaliaphotography.com

Recommend Kate from Off BEET photography in Northeast NJ. Her husband is doing our video as well. I don’t know what your budget is, but she is on the high end, though she is IMO completely worth it. She also is very customizable and can help you make up a package. She has a documentary style that we love. Nothing staged or cheesy. We are paying around $13k for both photo and video including: two photographers, an engagement session, 9-10 hours of photo, a custom couture art album, 2 matching parent albums, some prints/mounts, and a fine art print box. Video includes a feature, 2 minute teaser and 5 minute preview, and 10 hours of coverage. I love their video because it’s documentary style and the dramatic cinematography type I see a lot of. Let me know if you have any questions!

Also – beware of photo “studios” that employ many photographers. Meet with YOUR photographer and hire them and them only. Make sure your contract is specific.

marmar13 :  Yes I definitely recommend her! After we booked we received a package in the mail a week or two later welcoming us into the Something Blue Family! It was such a nice touch! Had a wedding magazine, tips for photography, a mini champagne nottle, and an ornament with our initials on it. And for the amount of times she’s been published, her prices aren’t as crazy as some others I’ve seen and she breaks it up into 3 installments.

futuremrscas :  Awww that is so sweet! Unfortunately I have had to put my photographer search on hold as our venue is giving us trouble…. they no longer want to do large weddings. I have a feeling by the time this is sorted out or if we have to pick a new location, she will already be booked since we are getting married a popular weekend ๐Ÿ™ Hopefully we will still have the opportunity to work with her though! ๐Ÿ™‚
