I seen these bottles at my local grocery store, they come in blue – pink – clear and are $3 a piece. I had seen them from across the store and just gravitated towards them. I had the idea to maybe use them as centrepieces by having a blue (maybe some clear) in the centre of each table (10 tables MAX, likely 5-6) and have a flower placed inside each one (perhaps water as well just for effect).
It would really cost just $30 max to get enough plus the cost of about 10 fake flowers from our local craft store, so really $40 max for centrepieces. I am just looking for some second opinions on them! They are even made of glass and not some cheap plastic and could be used in our home later on for decor or to use to hold water!

Are they all the same height? If not the flowers could give you height variance.

@CurlyCue: They are all the same height and are relatively high.

@JessicaJupiter: I think they are a very pretty color. The top looks fairly narrow, so you’re right that maybe just one flower would fit.
Personally, I think I’d be worried that just the narrow bottle in the middle of the table would feel too small for the table. I would probably add a shorter vase and maybe an even shorter candle. But that’s just me. If you like the minimalist look, go for it.

@JessicaJupiter: I think those would go perfectly with a rustic theme. The blue color makes me think of sea glass/shades of blue and green that would also work well with a nautical theme. It depends on what kind of wedding you are having overall, but I really like them!

I think it would look a little sparse on its’ own. I would cluster that bottle with other items, candles, smaller vases, shorter bottles etc

@julies1949: Thank you for those pictures! It’d only cost a buck or two extra per table to have a couple extra things surrounding it or the base to sit it on!
@MexiPino: That is what I am kind of worried about, I don’t know how big the tables are exactly yet but even on a normal table a single bottle would seem lonely. Thanks to julies idea above with the various arrangements they shouldn’t be lonely at all!
I’m certainly thinking this is the right way to go, just need to clear the idea with Fiance and then maybe later this week I’ll go pick them up!

I went and picked them up tonight and I am now kicking myself for waiting this long. I had wanted to buy 10 to ensure that even with an extra table or two than orginally planned we’d have a good number of them… but there were only 6 on the shelf. So now I am going to have 1 of each at the guest tables and find something different for the head table!
It is very bitter sweet considering I don’t have what I wanted but I ended up spending $15 less today than I had planned. I also found out that the metal for the corking system just pops right off and on again, so there is the added bonus of re-using them after the wedding is over!
