Future Mother-In-Law is the crafty sort, and she’s making all my centrepieces (and favours!) and a couple days ago we met up to cobble together a few.
The above two are going to be on guest tables (one on each), and there will be two of these for the head table:
This was just the first trial run so they’re a little sloppy, but I think they’ll look pretty good when put together properly I just wish I could get some brighter fake candles. The stuff inside is a little more visible than shown in the pictures, but it’s still a little dark. I love the candle in the short grey-ish lantern (it even has a “flame” that flickers!) but it’s too wide for the other lanterns and I’ve yet to find any thinner ones.
Suggestions are welcome… just don’t be too mean please

@Nails_Polished: I think they look great!
What diameter LED candles do you need?

@Nails_Polished: I really like them. The fall leaves are so pretty.
You can use real wax candles and just cut into the top of them, and put in an LED light or two to get the proper brightness. I do this all the time to save fancy candles (although usually I put in a real burning tea light in the hole). To light up the whole candle for the glow effect, just make the hole deeper from the top, or do a separate hole on the bottom for another led.

@julies1949: I have no idea!! The bases of the brown and white lanterns are 4 1/4″ on each side. I think the ones that we had in there for this trial were maybe 1/2″? I don’t have the stuff with me so I can’t check. I think maybe up to 1″ could work. I’m horrible at estimating these things (there’s a reason Future Mother-In-Law is making them )
@wabanzi: I never would have thought of that! I’ll have to take a look around for something like it. Thanks!
And thanks to everyone for your comments I’m glad I’m at least somewhat on track with this planning stuff.

@Nails_Polished: To be clear, are you looking for a LED candle like in the first pic, or a narrower LED pillar candle like the second pic?

One that’s more like the second pic would be nice, but really I just want something that’s brighter. The trouble with fall colours is they tend to be on the darker side.
