- Wedding: June 2011
I’m having a small wedding, 60 people. The original plan is to have the ceremony in the same room as the reception. The way we would do it is the tables will be to the side, decorated, etc. Down the middle, will be aisle and there will also be a back drop in the front. Everyone will pretty much be sitting at their tables already when the ceremony happens. I saw a picture of how it would be done and it appears nice but now I’m having second thoughts. Do you think we should just have it in a separate room instead. We can have it in a separate room if we want but my only concern is that the building is not the nicest or most elegant as far as wedding goes but once they decorate the room it is really beautiful. I’m just not sure I want my guest to have to leave the ceremony room and then sort of travel through the building to the reception room because then they will notice the elegance the catering hall is missing. If it’s in one room, they don’t have to leave and they won’t notice anything. They will decorate the ceremony room just as beautiful as the reception room. Idk, what do you guys think. Do yall think it is tacky to put it in the same room? Do you think it will make it chaotic. The catering hall has done it before so I’m sure they know what they are doing. I just want everything to be nice.
I’m going to try to post some pics up.
