1. Usually about 30-45 minutes.

2. No. You can have non-Christian music before things start, but once the procession starts it is a religious event and so the music should be Christian music. Don’t get discouraged though, you can have cool stuff! Check out KLP’s wedding.

You can have non-Christian music as long as it is is non-secular.  That means that the music could not have been written for a movie, play, TV, or event.  Also the song couldn’t have been made solely for profit making.  So that eliminates most popular music sine 1920.

Ours was about 40 minutes.  Our church liturgist made us pick music only from her repertoire.  She played samples on the piano and we had to choose.

we got a book that had all the songs that were okay to play. We just met with FT (Father Todd) yesterday and he said our ceremony should only be about 35-40 minutes long. that is what we are planning for.
