Hello wonderful ladies! I am in desperate need of ideas! Below is a photo of the stage area where we will be married. As you can tell, it’s sort of just a little shelter house type of deal. However the building you can sort of see in the background to the right is the pool house… The park our amphitheater is in shares a parking lot with the city pool. I’m thinking I should create a backdrop of sorts, so that our ceremony photos don’t feature shirtless little boys with swim trunks… I don’t need to go over the top, because there will be lovely trees and flowers blooming, but I think I need to do something.
I do want it to be fairly simple, because family friends will be putting it up for us just a little while before guests begin trickling in, so I don’t want it to be a pain and a half to put up or take down.
I’ve seen stuff with using ribbon and strips of fabric and stuff, which I LOVE the look of, but I am worried about the wind blowing it (maybe add weights of some sort?) Anyway, any suggestions would be more than appreciated.

If you do decide to use ribbons, you can glue fishing weights to the bottom.
You could do a calkboard backdrop. It is totally prepared ahead of time. Your helpers just have to set it in place.
You could use it like this couple to acknowledge the wedding party or you could write your vows on it-especially great if you are writing your own vows. The paper roll idea below might nit work well for an outdoor, potentially breezy wedding,
You could bring in some glass doors and a premade draped section for the middle

I love the draped fabric in that liast photo. We have a white pergola that I’m making/getting music-paper heart garlands to hang from behind. I’ve also seen backdrops of book pages glued to butcher paper and cutout words on the front of it all.

we used draped fabric on the front posts of ours, and a straight ivory sheet on the back posts to hide the ugly wall behind our altar and the exit sign…. turned out great.

I love this! So pretty! An arbor or ceremony backdrop would be pretty!
