Has anyone ever been to a ceremony where the guests formed a circle around the couple. I recently seen a photo on another post (don’t remember which one) but I thought that was a really good idea.
My original idea for our ceremony space has kinda changed.. So I want to use another part of the property, pretty much a open field with no real spot for a backdrop. I would still walk down an aisle, but just have people all around us.
Any comments/suggestions/pictures are welcomed 🙂

@ohulani: I think it depends on your venue and your style. Some venues wouldn’t readily lend themselves to a circle, others might be better that way than the traditional way. Also, I think that your style affects it. If you’re having a really traditional wedding it might be a bit odd. On the other hand, if you’re more modern it could be perfect.

We are actually doing this at our wedding on the 13th. We have a very small wedding. Only 45 people and I wanted to make sure that everyone felt included and close to us so we decided to do this. Luckily enough we are having an outdoor ceremony where I think this would work best. I guess it depends on the venue and the amount of guests you are having.

Everything will be outdoors and countryish, it will be pretty laid back. We are expecting between 50-75 people, There are long wooden benches (13) which will fit 5 people comfortably. I was thinking maybe 6 benches for the inside circle and 7 for the outer circle.
